Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might want to know before you get in touch — what we build, what it costs, how long it takes and how storm-damage jobs work. Can't find your answer? Give Sam a call on 0426 363 556.
We're based in Camillo and work right across the Perth metro — both sides of the river. Kelmscott, Gosnells, Thornlie, Armadale, Southern River, Canning Vale, Bibra Lake, Bentley and Piara Waters, through to Joondalup, Wanneroo and Floreat. We also take on larger commercial and chain link jobs out in regional WA. Not sure if you're in our patch? Give Sam a call and ask.
Colorbond boundary and infill fencing, commercial and site fencing, garrison security fencing, chain link and chainmesh, rural and acreage fencing, pool-compliant and tubular fencing, plus gates and automation. We also replace storm-damaged fences. Timber is the one we do least of over here — but ask and we will quote it.
Always. We only use genuine COLORBOND® steel — not the cheaper look-alike sheeting some blokes will quote you on. It costs a little more up front, but it is what keeps the colour and the coating looking right through years of WA sun, wind and salt air.
Yes. Storm damage is a big part of what we do, and after a big blow it is most of what we do. Usually the best fix is to take the whole old fence out, cart it away and stand a straight new one up, rather than patch a fence that was already on its way out. We can give you a written quote to pass on to your insurer. Storm work books out fast, so the earlier you call the better.
It depends on the type of fence, the length of the run, the fall of the land and how easy the site is to get into — so we price every job on its merits rather than guessing over the phone. Your measure and quote is free and there is no obligation.
A standard residential Colorbond run is usually a one-day job once we are on site. Longer boundaries, retaining, gates or automation can add a day or two, and commercial jobs are programmed around your site. You will get a realistic timeframe with your quote, not a guess.
Plenty of it — it is a growing part of the business. We work with builders, developers, facility managers and head contractors on Colorbond boundaries, garrison, chain link, tubular and site fencing, including remote and mine-site work in regional WA. Send the drawings or the details through and Sam will price it.
We do — retaining walls, turf, paving and garden beds. It is a large scope of works, so we can sort your fence and the yard around it in the one go.
In WA the cost of a dividing fence between two properties is generally shared between the two owners, so it is worth having a chat with your neighbour before you book anything in. We are happy to supply a written quote you can both look over. For the legal detail, look up the Dividing Fences Act 1961 (WA).
Yes — pulling out the old fence and carting it away is part of the job, and it is included in your quote so there are no surprises at the end.
We can, but honestly we do not get asked for it much. Timber does not hold up in the WA climate the way steel does, so nearly everything we build these days is Colorbond or steel. If you have got your heart set on timber, give Sam a call and we will talk it through.
For the right job, yes. We have done chain link and site fencing a long way out of town — including up at Newman in the Pilbara for BHP. If you have got a regional or remote job, give Sam a ring and we will work out the logistics.
Yes — Dial-A-Mate is fully insured and ABN-verified, so you are covered and dealing with a legit local operator.
